IRRADIATION INDICATOR FOR BLOOD PRODUCTS

Rad 25-50 is a Medical Device used to verify blood products irradiation, with a minimum of 25 Gy, as recommended by current guidelines.

Rad 25-50 is apply onto blood bag before irradiation.

A change in the indicator colour, from slightly pink to blue, indicates that the product was correctly exposed to irradiation: the intensity of the blue depends to the amount of radiation received.
